Memorial Service

We usually refer to our services as ‘meetings’. Our Memorial meeting is held every Sunday morning. This meeting is intended for baptised members, although non-members are welcome to attend. It is an opportunity to worship God and to remember the life, death and sacrifice of Jesus, God’s Son. During this meeting Christadelphians share bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus, as He instructed. We refer to this as ‘the breaking of bread’. The meeting contains prayers, hymns, Bible readings and a Bible talk and usually lasts for about an hour and a half. We do not have any paid ministers or priests and one of our members, known as the president for the day, will over-see the running of the meeting. The Bible talk will be given by either a member of the Cambridge Christadelphians or a visiting Christadelphian from another area. Usually we stand for hymns and prayers and the bread and wine is taken by baptised members only. Baptised women, known as ‘sisters’, wear a head covering for this meeting.

Public Bible Talk

Everyone is welcome to attend our weekly Bible talks. The talks are given on a Bible theme and are an opportunity for us to share the Gospel message as taught by Jesus and His disciples and to explain aspects of our beliefs. The total length is no more than an hour and will contain hymns, prayers, a Bible reading and a Bible talk. As for our Memorial Meetings, generally we stand for the hymns and prayers. At the end of each talk everyone is welcome to stay for a short while to talk and ask the speaker any questions and on the first Sunday of each month, throughout the Summer, we serve refreshments. The talks start at 6:30pm from April to October and at 2:15pm from November to March.

Bible Class

Everyone is welcome to attend our weekly Bible Class. This meeting includes a talk on a Bible theme, usually given by a member of the Cambridge Christadelphians, as well as prayers, hymns, a Bible reading and an opportunity to discuss the subject for the evening informally over refreshments. The aim of this meeting is for us to study and discuss God’s word as found in the Bible. The meeting starts at 7.45 pm and is usually concluded by 9.15pm.
